Terms of Service
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Sentinel Security, operated through zunex.org (“Sentinel,” “we,” or “us”). By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the service, you agree to them.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter a contract and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for your credentials and activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
2. What Sentinel provides
Sentinel provides automated, informational assessments of security controls observable from publicly accessible websites and related services. Features may include reports, monitoring, alerts, port-status checks, history, and remediation guidance. Sentinel is not a penetration test, certification, compliance audit, or guarantee that a system is secure.
3. Authorized and safe use
You may assess systems you own or are authorized to test. You must not use Sentinel to exploit vulnerabilities, bypass access controls, test credentials, cause disruption, scan private networks, collect personal data unlawfully, or violate another party’s rights. Additional restrictions appear in our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Results and your decisions
Automated results may contain false positives, false negatives, incomplete observations, or findings affected by caching, proxies, firewalls, and third-party infrastructure. You must validate material findings before changing production systems or making compliance, purchasing, or legal decisions.
5. Plans, billing, and renewal
Free and paid plans have the features and limits displayed when you subscribe. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the displayed interval until cancelled. Prices may exclude applicable taxes. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides billing customer-service inquiries and handles returns.
6. Upgrades, cancellation, and refunds
Upgrades may take effect immediately and may be prorated. You may manage payment details, invoices, and cancellation through the billing portal. Unless checkout states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and access continues until then. Payments already charged are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly approved by us.
7. Monitoring and communications
If you enable monitoring, you authorize Sentinel to perform the selected bounded checks on the verified domain at the chosen frequency. You consent to receive essential account, billing, verification, monitoring, and security-alert emails. Marketing messages, if introduced, will use separate choices where required.
8. Your content and privacy
You retain ownership of the domains, data, and material you submit. You grant us the limited rights needed to process that information and provide, secure, and improve the service. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Our service and intellectual property
Sentinel, its interface, branding, software, reports, and methodology are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account remains in good standing. You may use and share reports for legitimate internal or client work, but may not resell, copy, reverse engineer, or misuse the platform itself.
10. Third-party services
The service relies on third parties, including hosting, email, DNS, and payment providers. Their availability and separate terms may affect parts of Sentinel. We are not responsible for third-party systems outside our control.
11. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Sentinel available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may maintain, change, limit, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
12. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access for non-payment, security risk, abuse, unlawful activity, or material breach of these Terms. You may stop using Sentinel at any time. Provisions intended to survive termination—including payment obligations, ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits—will continue.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sentinel is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sentinel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption; or losses arising from reliance on automated results. Our aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid Sentinel during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Sentinel against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use, unauthorized testing, submitted content, or material violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Disputes and applicable law
The laws and courts applicable to the Sentinel operator govern these Terms, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Before filing a formal claim, contact us and allow 30 days to attempt an informal resolution.
17. General terms
If one provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a reorganization or sale. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Acceptable Use Policy are the complete agreement for the service.
